R&K MC for an international

This is almost two year, when I finished my term as a VP Recruitment in the MC in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. But for me time has stoped since that time and still I think that it finished only yesterday, maybe because I am doing my intership in Chelyabinsk (Russian) – my LC, which I was responsible for.

I remember the time, when I saw (for the first time) an e-mail: “MC RuBeK 2004/2005 applications are open”. Always I wanted to be the member of MC RuBeK team, alwasy I knew that I want to work in Russia, but that time I had a lot of emotions - fear, but also a will to check myself and of course a lot of different questions: Am I good? Do I have enought knowledge? Do I have enough experience? Am I ready for it? If I am “right” person for this position? Maybe I shouldn’t apply, because I know that there are better people than I am? Of course answer was: NO.

I was lucky. I had a coach – person who said me: “Try, you have nothing to lose”. I tried and I don’t regret this decision and this choice, because it was one of the best year in my life. I discovered myself anew. I have learnt a lot of new things (how to organize my work, how to manage team, how to build strategy, how to prepare national conference and more more other things). But what is the most important thing – I met new people, new friends, wha have the same aim, which I have. People who go in the same direction, which I go in – they want to see our world a better place to live, without wars and global problems. I met people, who really want to change their lifes and place where they live.

I know that you have the same questions, which I had and I hope that somewhere, close to you is a person, who can say you the same what my coach told me: “DON’T HESITATE AND TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR AIESEC LIFE. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE”.
